Vision and Mission Statement
My vision: To ensure accurate communication regarding health, an area in which languages and technology must not be barriers.
My mission: Translation of media content requires other skills that ensure that information can be easily understood everywhere. Translation of medical media content requires all those skills combined, and that's likely why it is not easy to find qualified translators that meet these requirements! Guillermina Eidenson, as a physician and medical translator with specialized training in media translation, is the right person for the job.

Bio
Guillermina Eidenson is a physician and a language professional specialized in healthcare and medicine, combining her academic medical education with translation certification. Since the way in which information spreads is constantly evolving, Guillermina translates conventional and standard documents as well as medical content in the media, including journalism, social media, audiovisual content, and press releases.

Guillermina Eidenson received a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Universidad de Buenos Aires, from which she graduated with honors in 2002, and her degree in translation from the University of Massachusetts Boston (UMB) in 2021. She was also trained in Translation in Media at UMB.

After more than a decade working as an attending physician, Guillermina has gained extensive knowledge of the medical field. It is also thanks to this experience that she knows how critical it is for healthcare workers to have the most up-to-date information, but also how sensitive the meaning of that information is when decisions must be made. That is why she decided to become a certified translator: we need words, but we especially need precise meanings.

She has collaborated with the American Society of Breast Surgeons’ project called 360Breast.org, a platform with specific medical information for patients, as a voluntary medical translator for the Spanish chapter. She finished an internship sponsored by a non-profit organization based in Massachusetts, called THRIVE Communities. She has also become a volunteer for the Spanish chapter of Translators Without Borders (CLEAR Global).
